Cross-Training is a multi-layered (lateral and vertical) developmental tool which broadens an employee’s knowledge, improves motivation, efficiency, whilst, at the same time creating continuity and synergy. This synergy spreads in an almost web-like structure throughout the organization. Growing from the individual employee to teams within the internal and external environment, both laterally and vertically, it links positions that are both related and unrelated.
